Ramsey Canyon and the Hamburg Trail

On June 2, 2007, Carl, Candy, Linda and Ken did a 4.6 mile round trip hike starting at the Ramsey Canyon Preserve and ending at the old Hamburg Townsite just past the junction of the Hamburg trail and the Comfort Spring trail.  The starting elevation was 5708 feet and the ending elevation was 6809 feet, for an elevation gain of 1101 feet.  Click here for a map of the hike.  Click here for a history of Ramsey Canyon and an excellent description of the trail by Leonard Taylor, author of Hiker's Guide to the Huachuca Mountains.
